Rosemary aka Salvia Rosmarinus

Good day! I've got one of my favorite herbs (I love the smell) to talk a bit about today - Rosemary.

The Latin name of this plant is Salvia Rosmarinus, but was formerly known as Rosmarinus Officinalis up until an official name change in recent years.

When ingested in a concentrated form, rosemary is known to help with dilating and strengthening the capillary system, which improves blood flow throughout the body. When you have constrictions in the body, when things are not flowing properly, you're going to have a lot of impaired functions in your body. If you have issues with your arms or legs falling asleep, or often have cold hands or feet - rosemary can help relieve some of these symptoms!

This herb also works well as a stress reducer, helping you to calm down and get your focus back. Research has shown that just the smell of rosemary can lower levels of the stress hormone cortisol. It tastes great too, if you haven't tried making potatoes with fresh rosemary you really should. You're always going to want to use the flexible fresh top part of the plant including the leaves, not the wooden stems that are in the bottom of the plant if you're harvesting rosemary from your own garden.

Have a magical day!
Jenny

PLANT INGESTION WARNING!
As with all herbs and plants you plan to ingest, never ingest them before doing your own research and/or talking with your doctor - it’s possible that medications you take or health conditions you have could have a negative effect if paired with rosemary. Better safe than sorry!
